Latu Devta is who?
The sacred Goddess Nanda of Uttarakhand is said to have a sibling named Latu Devta. Latu Devta also traveled to Mount Kailash to say goodbye to Goddess Nanda, who is said to be the embodiment of Mother Parvati, during her marriage. He became thirsty during the trip and accidentally drank whiskey from two containers stored in a cabin.
He then grew enraged and began making a scene, which infuriated Nanda Devi, who cursed him and gave him the order to be imprisoned in Van village. Latu later expressed regret and apologized for his error. Following this, the mother assured him that he would be revered in Van village, but only if no one could see him up close.
