Dashanan Ravan: Know how Ravan got the boon of Dashanan

Dashanan Ravan: Once upon a time, a strong and intelligent monarch by the name of Ravan reigned in the ancient country of Lanka. He had 10 heads, so he wasn’t your typical monarch! This was a sign of his extraordinary brilliance and wisdom, not because he was a demon.

Ravan made the decision to carry out a unique and very challenging penance in order to increase his power since he wanted to become the most powerful emperor. He began to offer prayers to the universe’s creator, Lord Brahma. After a few days of penance, Brahma Ji bestowed a potent blessing on Ravan, who was moved by his dedication.

Ravan requested ten heads (Dashanan) as part of this boon, each of which stood for a distinct ability or area of expertise. He became an expert in many fields, including the arts, sciences, and ancient texts, thanks to his 10 heads. Dashanan Ravan started to believe he was unbeatable.

But there was a problem: Ravana’s heart was full of conceit and greed, even if he was very intelligent. He began doing wicked acts and failed to use his knowledge for the greater good. Ram Ji, Hanuman Ji, and his friends fought a fight against Ravana (Dashanan) to put an end to his wicked actions, which included the kidnapping of Sita Mata. At last, Ram Ji vanquished Ravana and imparted to everyone a vital lesson about the repercussions of acting immorally and with excessive arrogance.

We may learn from this narrative that intellect and information should only be used appropriately. Ravana’s great intellect was transformed into conceit and avarice, which boosted his ego and led him to do wrongdoing.

By conquering him, Ram Ji demonstrated that a person may really gain power by following the path of justice and truth. Ram’s triumph demonstrated that we may lead genuine lives if we use our intellect wisely and avoid stifling it with conceit.

This tale also teaches us to utilize our abilities for the good of others rather than to take pride in them. For instance, Ravana abused his abilities, while we need to use them for the sake of society.
