Shiva’s Nataraja form is worshiped, and Vaidyanath Jayanti is observed on the day of Mahashivratri. After becoming weary of the Tandava dance, Lord Shiva is claimed to have performed the Nataraja dance. Let us learn about the unique tale of Nataraja Nateshwar Mahadev this Jayanti.

Tandava of Lord Nataraja: A unique story of Lord Shiva
In the past, all of the gods gathered on Mount Kailash to take part in Lord Shiva’s “Nataraja” Tandava dance. In order to preside over the Tandava, Jagajjanani Mata Gauri was seated on the holy Ratnasinhasan. In order to take part in that dancing program, Devarshi Narad also traveled there while exploring the worlds. Lord Shiva eventually broke down in tears and began the Tandava dance.
In that dance, all of the gods and goddesses joined forces and began to play a variety of instruments. Lakshmi began singing, Brahma began clapping his hands, Devraj Indra began playing the flute, Mother Saraswati, the veena musician, began playing the veena, and Lord Vishnu began playing the mridang. Overwhelmed with passion, other gods, including Gandharvas, Kinnars, Yakshas, Uragas, Pannagas, Siddhas, Apsaras, Vidyadhars, and others, gathered around Lord Shiva and were absorbed in giving him praise.
During the Pradosh time, Lord Shiva performed a Tandava dance that was both amazing and magnificent in front of all those holy figures. His effortless stance and erratic but confident foot, waist, arm, and neck motions caused everyone’s eyes and minds to become restless.
Everyone enjoyed Nataraja Lord Shankar’s dance. He made the goddess Mahakali extremely happy. “Lord!” she exclaimed to Shiva. I am so pleased with your dancing tonight that I would want you to ask for a favor from me.
The confluence of Raas and Tandava on earth by the grace of Lord Shiva
After hearing her words, Lord Shiva, the people’s benefactor, exclaimed, “O Goddess!” with Naradji’s help. All animals on earth are denied the thrill of this Tandava dance, which you, the gods, and creatures of other divine species are becoming excited about. I want to skip Tandava and just perform ‘Raas’ now, but even our devotees can’t experience this delight, so you do something to let the animals on earth see it too.
As soon as Bhagwati Mahakali heard Lord Shiva’s words, he gave the command for all the gods to manifest themselves in different forms on earth. She personally appeared as Lord Shyamsundar Shri Krishna in Vrindavan Dham. In Braj, Lord Shri Shivji assumed the shape of Shri Radha. In this instance, they both coordinated a divine Raas dance, which was uncommon for the gods.
Here, Lord Shiva bestowed the title of ‘Nataraja’ onto Lord Krishna. Seeing this Raas made all living things on the planet happy, and Lord Shiva’s request was granted.
