Who built this temple

Jwala Devi is worshiped in the famous Jwalaji temple of Kangra. Established in honor of Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhyavasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi, this temple is believed to be the abode of nine unbroken fires.

Let us tell you that Raja Bhumi Chand built this temple dedicated to Maa Jwala Devi. After this, in 1835, Raja Sansar Chand and Maharaja Ranjit Singh got it renovated.

What was the reason for the flame of the temple ignited

In Jwala Devi Temple, nine flames—which are considered to symbolize the nine forms of Maa Durga—have been igniting without oil or wick for centuries. Also, a lot of effort was made to find out why the temple was burning, but to date no one has been able to find it out. Millions of scientists searched, but they could not find out anything.

But this has made the devotion towards the goddess even stronger. The empty pockets of the devotees are filled after visiting this divine temple. Moreover, every request has been accepted.
